Styling Jawbreaking

For Christmas, I was gifted with my first Jawbreaking item. This soft and cozy Circa 2008 sweatshirt.
If you never heard of the brand Jawbreaking, then allow me to inform you.The brand was created by the beautiful and stylish Aly Silverio at the age of 15 with a jewelry line. Now you can find T- shirts worn on the top celebrities ( One- Direction members and Youtube starlets, Megan and Liz) to school girls like myself.
The dreamcatcher gives the sweatshirt a casual vibe that can be styled with anything. Here are a few items you can incorporate into an outfit with your Jawbreaking sweatshirt.
Let's start off simple and work our way up. You can simply wear the sweatshirt with a bold Taylor Swift red lip. Head to your local drugstore to try the new Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in ruby twist.

Next, you could wear a bright colored beanie from Etsy.
A perfect way to turn heads is with a pair of galaxy leggings. The galaxy trend is turning heads, and this can be your way of channeling it at school. Check at this pair from Romwe.

Or just had your twist and choose from the variety of statement leggings. It's almost time to transition into spring, which is the perfect time to pull your sweatshirt to stay warm from the frequent breezes. Wear it over a flirty, floral dress from Brandy Melville or paired with edgy high- waisted shorts.
All these outfits can be easily finished with a pair on converse or combat boots. Hope you decide to go out and purchase your first Jawbreaking item.
                                                                     With love,
                                                                       Sarah E.

Bananas for Mask

Lately, I have been on the search for a great facial mask. I have found plenty of great ones from the Sephora website, but I am not willing to dish out the money. So, I've been going to the best place: my kitchen. There I am surrounded with ingredients that are full of protein, vitamins, and are already paid for. I even have enough products to make a hair mask. The main item is bananas. That's right bananas. They are quite messy, but full of protein that strengthen and softens the skin and hair.
The facial mask is perfect for acne prone skin. You will need:

  • teaspoon of honey ( I use a homemade organic  honey, but use what is in your cabinet)
  • a few drops of lemon juice
  • half a banana ( feel free to enjoy the other half of banana or use for the next mask)
  • Make sure to mash the bananas to form a creamy mask. Apply to the face and for fifteen minutes.
  • Wash off with a lukewarm towel, continue with your normal skincare routine.
The hair mask gets deep to the scalp to hydrate and strengthen your strands. You will need:
  • The other half of banana from the previous mask or a whole banana depending on hair length and thickness.
  • Mash the banana and then add one egg to mix with the banana.
  • Now, add a teaspoon of honey.
  • Add a teaspoon of olive oil.
  • Finish with a few drops of lemon juice to get a natural shine.
  • Mix the ingredients to get a creamy mixture.
  • Divide the hair into three sections, and apply the mask to the each section.
  • Use a plastic cap to prevent the mask from getting on your clothes and to allow it to soak into the hair.
  • Leave on for 30- 40 minutes.
  • Wash off and continue with your haircare routine.
Hope these two masks help your skin, hair, and wallet.
                                                                With love,
                                                                   Sarah E.

Leather on Leggings

Recently, I have been in love with the faux leather detail on leggings Like on the ones below.
These leggings are perfect to add the right amount of edge to a night outfit especially now since its Mardi Gras. Or you can wear them with a basic shirt to wear during the day to work or an afternoon with a friend.
Camo is very in this season, and you aren't just seeing our proud soldiers in camo anymore. That is why the leather detailing gives unique kick to a trend that is being done many.
The black leggings give such a slimming effect and shows off the curves. They are more universal since they do not have a pattern. So, they look great with an apple red oversized sweater or just a plain white tee incorporating a military jacket.
When I wore this leggings, I did get a lot of second looks and stares. I will be creating a post of how I style this leggings along with other outfits very soon.

Camo Leggings- Daily Look(last time I checked they were sold out, but you might find a similar pair at Necessary Clothing)

Black Leggings- Chic Nova ( Shipping took a month, so I would recommend finding a pair of leggings like from Necessary Clothing as well)
