My Oh- So Simple Skincare Routine

Hello Superstars,

A big subject on my blog has been my journey with Accutane. I have completed my first month, and

thought it was time for skincare routine. Since I am on such a strong medication, I keep my regimen

down to a minimum with products aimed at sensitive skin. Here we go:

Desert Essence Tea Tree Face Wash- Night Cleanser

At first, I thought this product would be too strong since it includes tea tree. Turns out, this is the best deep cleaning cleanser for sensitive skin. I cannot use any harsh products like my Clarisonic or exfoliates. So on those nights I need a deeper clean, I apply this on my skin and leave it on for at least two minutes. Afterwards, my skin feels open and fabulous.

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening - Morning Cleanser
If you are looking for a product to wake and make you look alive in the morning, then this is for you. I have had this product since mid spring and still have so much left. It includes caffeine and lemon that is perfect for those non- morning people. Unlike cleansers with small beads in them, this is not harsh and you do not even feel the beads.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion- Night Moisturizer
This is probably the most well- known moisturizer for Accutane users. All I can say is that Cetaphil is freaking amazing! I even use this for my whole body.

Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30- Morning Moisturizer
Although I'm not really having problems with oil anymore, I still use this product for the SPF. Plus, it is moisturizing without the greasy look.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment
I like to think of this product as the high end Vaseline. Around my mouth is wear I get the dryness, so I heavily apply this product at night. In the morning, there is no sign of dry skin.

Hydroquinone USP Bleaching Cream- Morning and Night Routine
I use this product morning and night to treat my acne scars. This is my second month using the medication, and I am seeing a huge difference with the annoying suc- I mean acne scars.

    Medications
  • Month 1- 40 mg of Amnesteem (generic Accutane)
  • Month 2 ( Just starting)- 60 mg if Claravis
  • Gildess FE Birth Control 1.5- 30
Superstars, this is just an overview of the products I use. If you don't these products will help you, please do not go out and buy them. But if you think you can handle them, go out and give them a try.

                                                   Love ya,
                                                   Sarah E.
