Hello, superstars I must apologize for my absence. When I created this blog, I pledged to myself to post regularly. Of course, school would not let that happen. Please understand that my first pledge is to school and my grades, and this summer can be all about the blog. Fair?
The Lent season is over. That's right the forty day season has left, and has left me with some good habits. I am not a Catholic ( I am Baptist), but I did decide to give up a few good things this year. Dark sodas, sweet pastries, ice cream, and fried foods were the items I got rid of for forty days.
Like I said I am not Catholic, so for the first month I was unaware that you can have a feast day. To be honest, when I finally learned I could treat myself to a little ice cream or Coke the taste was not appeasing to me.
During this time, my mind, body, and soul felt cleansed. My relationship with God became stronger because I looked to him for guidance in times of temptation ( days when my peers randomly decided to bring donuts for the class).
I liked this feeling so much that I plan on keeping of with laying off the sweets and fried foods. Lent benefited me because I dropped SIX POUNDS! Holla!
Even though Lent is over, summer is around the corner. So, I encourage you to give up your guilty pleasures. You might be able to lose twelve pounds! Go for it, superstars!
