Rockin the T- Shirt Dress

Rockin the T- Shirt Dress

Rockin the T- Shirt Dress by saraheoutlet featuring gold jewelry

Hello Superstars,

One of my favorite trends of the moment, is the t- shirt dress. I think it is the most fabulous fashion invention. You have to admit mixing a t- shirt and dress together is pretty darn genius.

With this outfit I wanted it to be two of my favorite styles, casual and edgy. The cut outs on the dress creates even more of a rockstar look with the graphic. I feel you can never go wrong with a classic pair of black combat boots. If it's little warmer, just simply roll down the boot. A bowler hat is the perfect way of creating a fall look all while protecting you from the leftover summer sun. What's an outfit without an arm party? Pair as many bracelets as you want, particularly in the gold color scheme. Studs are the way to go with any rocker or edgy look. This knockoff Alexander Wang Rocco bag is the easiest way to add studs to an outfit. I think red lips are a must when wearing so much black. It is the perfect color to make the black pop, to even make you pop. Superstars, this fall I want you to rock the fashion's best invention, the t- shirt dress.

    Is Forever 21 Becoming Basic?

    Hello Superstars,

I'm sure the Forever 21 bright yellow and black logo is becoming more familiar to you than the golden McDonald's arches coming into distance on a long road trip. And if you type in "fo" into the google search engine it is the second name to appear. Forever 21's popularity is continuing to grow. But is it becoming too basic?

I started shopping from Forever 21 in the sixth grade ( about four years ago). Beauty gurus inspired me to hit up the store after their endless hauls of trendy clothes for low prices. Since there was not a store in  my town, I had to shop online. It was absolutely perfect because none of my friends knew about the store at time, so I would pop up at school in pieces that left them wondering," Where she got that?". Yes, even in the sixth grade I was fashionista.

My knowledge of Forever 21 was my best kept secret until about a year and half ago. Now, flocks of girls are becoming walking advertisements for the store. Not to toot my own horn, but I know every piece of Forever 21 merchandise down to the jewelry and can spot it from a mile away. The girls in my town are not just wearing one piece of Forever clothing, but the whole darn mannequin. I believe that every girl should rock what she wants, but come on it's a bit overboard when you wear a head to toe outfit from one store.
Me when I see a girl commit the fashion crime of wearing all Forever 21

The last four years have not change. My town still does not have a Forever 21, but girls are driving an hour to three hours to Forever 21s. I do not have problem with this since the clothes are cute and extremely inexpensive. My problem is that it is not safe to wear my F21 clothes to school anymore.

You might be thinking,"Sarah E., you're just being dramatic." Oh no I'm not Superstars, twice in one week someone else had the same shirt on as me at the same time, same day, same place. This has not happen since my uniform days. I did not overreact. I just held my head up high and told myself,
" Girlfriend, you are wearing it better."

Now, I am overreacting because fashion is personal. Fashion is unique. And the "u" in unique starts with you. You shouldn't worry about someone wearing the same top or dress as you especially on the same day. This is happening too much nowadays, and it is stealing away the meaning of personal style. So, do you think Forever 21 is becoming too basic?

                                                      Love ya,
                                                      Sarah E.

I Have Something You Don't Know About

    Hello Superstars,

I know by the title you are thinking whatever I have that you do not know about is pretty interesting. Well, I guess it is. What you all don't is... I have a lisp.

You are probably thinking," Well, of course, we don't know. This is a blog." Others are probably thinking," Why are you telling us this? It's not like we are going to hear your voice." Honestly, I don't know why I am telling you all this. Maybe because it is something that bothers me on a day to day basis. Or because it is my biggest insecurity.

As a toddler, I was a fan of the pacifier. Wherever I went, I had a pacifier with me. Family outings, to my sister's games, even the store. Eventually, I could handle laving my pacifier at home for a few hours while I was at school. But it was the first thing I would run home to. This went on for awhile, and it affected the growth of my jaw. Today, I have an unaligned jaw, which requires orthognatic surgery to fix. Until I get the surgery I am stuck with a lisp.

I wish I could have gotten therapy for it when I was younger, but my elementary school only offered to children with a learning disability. Instead of learning how to speak correctly, I just learned to live with my lisp.

It is hard living with it. Many times I have to repeat myself to people. Or I cannot use certain words in my vocabulary due to it. Most of the time in conversations, people look at the way my mouth moves instead of in my eyes. And of course, I have been made fun of for having a lisp, even by my "friends".

Even though, it is the cause of me hating public speaking. It sets me back from meeting new people because I think of how they would judge me. There is a part of me that likes my lisp. I feel it is an extra flaw God has given me to make me even more special and unique. Sure comments like," It sounds like you have a retainer," or ,"Why you talk like that?"bothers me. But after my period of being upset, I think," Would that person be fabulous like I am
with a lisp?". I'm not going to answer the question on here, but Superstars, you have to handle your flaws with confidence. You may not like some of the things you have, but please, learn to appreciate them. Appreciate them for making you different. Once you find that appreciation, confidence will soon be knocking at your door.

                                           Love Ya,
                                           Sarah E.

    Back To School Confidence

    Hello Superstars,

While most of you are just now starting back to school shopping, I have already had one week of school. That's right! I have had five days of not sleeping until noon, not eating whenever I want, and not being on Wilbert (my Macbook) all day. Instead, I have been in cold classrooms for ninety minutes. Sounds like fun, huh?

Maybe, I over exaggerated. My first week wasn't that bad. Actually, this is the first time I have gone back to school with confidence. The first year I have not worried about my weight, skin, or teeth. I feel like I have changed... in a good way.

I have confidence to walk alone in the hallway. And if I don't want to be with a certain group, I just walk away. In the morning, I try to pick out outfits I usually wouldn't wear. Not afraid of what people might say about them.

One of the biggest change I am seeing in myself, is that I am not affected by others words as much. For example, one girl said to me, " You need to wax your eyebrows, and you need a relaxer."She has no idea I am on Accutane. A medication you cannot get waxings or relaxers on. I didn't feel the need to explain myself, so I flipped my hair and walked away.

Honestly, I am happy with the person I am becoming and the confidence I am gaining. It could be from the Accutane making my skin clear or my new love for my body. Whatever it is, I pray it does not go away.

                           Love ya,
                            Sarah E.

    First Day of School Outfit

    Hello Superstars,

Today, was the start of my sophomore year! Honestly, I don't think I should have put the exclamation mark because first days are always boring. Even though the day was not what I expected, my outfit turned out to be everything I expected: cute, comfy, and compliment worthy.

Pants- I purchased these comfy bad boys in May from Pacsun. These tropical print wide leg pants are by the brand Billabong. I decided to wear these for the first day because they felt like pajamas! Even though I was in 90 minute classes, I felt like I was lounging at home.
Shirt- It is just a simple black crop top from Forever 21. You should definitely check out Forever 21 for basic tops since they are incredibly inexpensive.

Jewelry- Guess where I got all these pieces from? That's right Forever 21. These items were cheap, but totally added pa-zazz to my outfit.

The whole look put together made the perfect back to school outfit. I didn't feel to dressy, but I still felt like a diva. I know most of you have not gone back to school yet, so I hope this can be inspiration for your outfit on the first day of school.

    Second Month of Accutane

    Hello Superstars,

It is coming to the end of my second month of Accutane. Remember how I told you my dosage was suppose to up to 60 mg? Well here is the low down. Since there is not a 60 mg pill of Accutane, I would have to take two pills, a 20 mg and a 40 mg( which I have been on). The pharmacy that fills my prescriptions was out of the 20 mg, so they had to order it. By the time I did receive it, my iPledge window was up. Fellow Accutane users and past users, know what that means. If I was to get the 20 mg prescription, I would have to start my whole process over: going to the doctor, waiting at the doctor,  get blood drawn AGAIN. My pharmacist advised me to stay on the 40 mg until my next doctor's visit, which I did.

Whenever I post these updates, it is always at the beginning of the month. The time I start my little feminine friend, and experience a few pimples. With the help of Accutane they aren't a huge issue. They are normally gone within a span of two days. For the most part, my skin is clear breakout wise. I am still dealing with my hyper pigmentation, which is being treated with prescribed bleaching cream.

The side effects I am experiencing are starting to become an issue. I have been having the driest of eyes. I find it complete useless wearing mascara, even waterproof, when I am constantly dabbing away tears or rubbing them. It feels like I have constant cold that will not go away.

The dryness of my facial skin is not that bad. I mainly have to apply extra moisturizer around my hairline and mouth. My lips are peeling badly. One night I had to give up using lip balms and chapsticks, and move to Bag Balm, an ointment used for cow's when milking. I have also been using this on my thighs and arms, the places where I have been having the most embarrassing rashes. The rashes are so bumpy and red. I find it completely impossible for me not to scratch them. My days have been full of apply moisturizes.

Lately, I have been feeling this heaviness in my ear. Almost like my ears are clogged up. A friend of my mom experienced an ear infection on Accutane, so I am kind of worried about this feeling.

With this next side effect, I really do need Accutane users to comment. Did/ have you experienced insomnia on the medication? I am not able to get any rest at night! No matter how much I workout, read, or give myself quiet time before bed, I am not able to get any rest. I use to be the girl that would be in a bed at a certain time and would sleep the night away. Every since I have been on Accutane, I have had restless nights. I hope it gets better.

Overall, I am loving the results not the side effects, but I am loving what I am seeing in the mirror. This is the first time I am feeling confident about my skin. I feel comfortable going back to school, and not trying to convince my mom to buy my makeup to coverup my breakouts. I feel like a Covergirl without any makeup.

                                                     Love ya Superstars,
                                                             Sarah E.

    A True Denim Lady

    A True Denim Lady

A True Denim Lady by saraheoutlet featuring high heel sandals

    Hello Superstars,
As some of you may know, many of my creations are inspired by my Southern roots. I came across this dress, and decided to make an outfit centered around it. To me this dress, speaks the south (and it kinda speaks Sarah E.). You could definitely pull this off in the fall with knee high socks and a plum cardigan. But for now show off your legs and arms (in a classy way, of course). Go for a wooden wedge like the one shown above. Also, a great fall piece with a pair of frilly socks or tights. The soft pink purse keeps the outfit casual but feminine. Okay, I think everyone knows anything monogrammed is a Southern Belle's best friend. Instead of wearing a bold monogrammed necklace, opt for a simple bracelet. Pearls are a must have for any girl. They are really just an easy way to pull an outfit together. Remember, pearls are the last thing you put on, but the first thing you take off. With the blazing sun, you have to protect your eyes! Grab a pair of cat eye glasses for a classic look. This could not be an outfit by me without... a head wrap. Polka dots are iconic and could probably go with anything, even stripes. There you have it ,Superstars. In my opinion, a true southern lady ensemble.

    Don't be Scared!

*****I am not trying to be negative in any way. I am only sharing honest thoughts and experiences. You will be exposed to a lot in high school, and I only want to prepare you.

P.S. I was not prepared for some of the things I witnessed my freshman year.

    Hello Superstars,

I only have one week left of summer (Ugh...a con of living in the south). This year I will be a SOPHOMORE. Yes, that's right I completed my freshman year, and let me tell you it was a learning experience. I am a stronger and wiser person from my first year of high school. This post is not aimed at scaring any upcoming freshman. That is why I chose not to entitle this as a "Freshman Survival Guide". I do not think I am a genius, but I feel I have enough knowledge to share some advice.

You might have heard this over a thousand times in your life, but trust me it is super important to always follow it. Be YOURSELF. In high school, you are walking into a brand new world. What I like to call the Pre- Real World. Not to sound like a PSA, but this world is scary. You will be exposed to people doing drugs, talking about drugs, and selling drugs. Basically, people making drugs their whole lives. Friends that you thought would not ever touch an illegal substance will do it. But that does not mean you have to. There are a lot of bad things in high school that you would be influence to do. If you remember your morals and who you are, you will be easy for you not to fall into the peer pressure.  Superstars, if you stay true to yourself you will avoid disappointed friends, family, and the most important person: YOU.

"I probably have less than half of the friends I did my freshman year," words a former senior
    told me.
Count how many friends you have from middle school that you will be going to high school with. You may have plenty of friends or you may be your main amigo. To be honest, you might do better by being your own best friend. I am not saying to be stuck up, and not let anyone in. But in high school, you are going to lose friends and learn who your true friends are. For me, I never actually had true friends. I only associated with people. Meaning, I kept my relationships with people to eating at the same lunch table or casual conversations before school. My freshman year I did not have a friend I could share my true feelings with. It was difficult because I did go through hard times. Times when you need a girlfriend to vent to. Although I kept most of feelings bottled up, I do not regret it. If I did share any of my secrets to anyone, I know within a span of twenty minutes someone else would find out. Spreading other people's business like wildfire is the cause of ending many high school relationships. You thought middle school was full of drama? High school is on the next level. People do not quite mature until their senior year. After they have lost friends, from their catty actions. Use freshman year to really as a time to read people's motives. To see whether they are sincere when they are listening to your troubles or wanting to hear a good story to tell someone else. Also, use this time to focus on yourself. Try to make yourself a better and stronger person, so you can deal with conflict like a true lady with sass and class.

Have you ever thought of falling in love with the senior football player? Most of you probably have. My school doesn't have a football team, but I definitely had crushes on the senior boys. None of them noticed me, just to let you know. But for some of my peers, they definitely got noticed. They soon found themselves in relationships that were not healthy. The senior, whether it was a girl or guy, would play mind games. They would get the person all hyped up in a text, but would act like they did not know them at school. Or would start drama in a late night phone call. The next day they would act like the drama never happened and act affectionate. Sadly, most of the seniors in these relationships only wanted sex. Thank goodness, the people I knew didn't give in, but they will remember the relationship experience. Some would try to forget, but they will always remember it. That is why I do not think it is best for a freshman to date a senior. You aren't on the same maturity level. The senior could be far more experienced in things you aren't prepared for. If you do want to date someone older, try a sophomore. There is only an one year gap between you all, so there is some relativity.

In high school, you are trying to find or create yourself. And sweetheart, you are not going to be the only person doing that. One week, you might see someone with purple streaks. Then, the next they have a head full of red. Or you will encounter a senior trying to find his way into manhood a.k.a not shaving for WEEKS. Whatever you see a person doing, please keep an open mind. If you see a girl dressed like Kesha, she could just be playing with her style. A guy wearing eyeliner may be considering a career as a makeup artist. We all are trying to find ourselves, so do not judge or taunt. Remember karma is a b- word.

Homework and exams are the hardest things when transitioning into high school, especially if you proscinate. Everyday you will be assigned homework, and everyday you should do your homework. Some Friday nights, I found myself working algebraic equations or balancing science equations. On top of your normal homework, teachers will assign projects and research papers. Do those on time too because no one ever wants to lose sleep due to finishing a freaking paper. As for exams, two weeks of your life you will be dedicated to them. One week for getting filling out study guides, making note cards, and attempting to study the your notes. The second week will be taking the exams and trying to cram in any last minute information. When the exams are over and you are homework free break, spend that time on yourself. Sleep the whole day if you want. Eat all the junk food you want. Spend all day on your computer if you want. Remind yourself that you deserve it.

Do not be afraid of joining clubs. You may be scared of joining a club that will have upperclassmen in it or a club your friends think is a lame. Join it anyway! Amazing opportunities can come your way just from signing up.There is a high chance of you finding a friend or friends with similar interest as you. Or you could work your way up and get a high leadership position. Which would look fabulous, on a college application. Go for it, superstar.

Enough with serious topics, let's talk about fashion, particularly Homecoming fashion. As I said before, my school does not have a football team, but we do have Homecoming. Homecoming is probably my favorite event of the year. Mainly, because I can wear studded heels, tease my hair as high as possible, wear a sassy red lip, and take selfies; all with no shame or explanation. One of my biggest tip is start searching for your dress a month earlier. Do not be the girl that is going from store to store three days before Homecoming looking for a dress* cough, cough* myself ( but I still looked fabulous). You will have plenty of time to go out of time or order online your dream dress. Plus, you'll have time to play with different hairstyles.

I know my dears, this was a long post. I just want you to be prepared, so you won't feel scared or nervous. When you are feeling those emotions, it is hard to enjoy the moment. And you really want to enjoy your first year of high school. I f you have any questions or just  need to talk about a topic, my e-mail is saraheoutlet@gmail.com. Superstars, you will do just fabulous your freshman year.

                                                            Love ya,

                                                              Sarah E.
