My Perfect Imperfections

Hello Superstars,

I know some of you remember when the "My Perfect Imperfections" tag was trending on YouTube. If you are not familiar with the tag, it is someone sharing three things they like about themselves and three things they dislike. Here are mine:

Perfections- Things I Like

1. I am my eyebrow's number one fan. Every since I was a little girl, I always had thick curly eyebrows. In the sixth grade (on my 12th birthday), I got them waxed and discovered my love for them. The lady that waxed my eyebrows told me I had a natural arch, which I am quite thankful for. Since they are thick, I never have to worry about filling them in.

2. My rosy red cheeks are the second thing I like about myself. I remember around the age of seven I went to a food sample booth in Wal- Mart. The woman working the booth looked at me and asked,"Are your cheeks naturally like that or have you been running around?". Having no clue of what the word natural meant, I still sweetly said,"Naturally." And they are naturally red.I love having a rosy tint to my cheeks because it gives me a youthful glow,

3. Curves. Although I am a bigger girl, I do have a nice pear shape. I am semi slim in the waist, and curvy below the belly button. I feel I am bless to have curves because I feel so much more like woman. Plus, high waisted jeans look AMAZING on me.

Imperfections- Things I Dislike

1. I carry weight in my midsection. Probably since the day I came into this world, I always carried extra lbs. in the stomach. I find uncomfortable and it makes me insecure. No matter what I have on I always pull my underwear over my stomach to conceal it.

2. I look older than 15. People are constantly telling me I look older than my age, and not in a good way. Older woman say it in disgust like I am making myself look old on purpose. And one time someone thought I was my friend's grandmother. These comments hold me back from wearing the clothes and beauty looks I want because I know I would get some rude comment or creepy stare from an old man.

4. Lack of a butt. Ladies, I may have curves, but I do not have any type of backside curve. I am pretty much an ironing board in the back. No matter how many squats or minutes I do on the elliptical, my rear end does ever get any extra va-va boom.

Superstars, I find this a great tag because it gives you the chance to reflect on the wonderful assets you do have and recognize them. Sharing your flaws is not easy, but with this tag you have the opportunity of hearing from other girls that share the same insecurity. You feel like you are not alone. If you find anything perfection or imperfection that we share in this post please comment below. It will help me feel like I am not alone.

You Will Always Have Me Superstars,
                                                                              Sarah E.
